What does the Programme aim to do?
Facilitated by a Course Director - always a retired person - this three day programme aims to examine lifestyle in retirement looking at (but not dictating) ways in which individuals can help themselves live as full and enjoyable a life as possible. The aim is to encourage looking forward!
As soon as you have decided which dates to attend, your name will be placed on the Attendance Register. About 2 weeks before commencement of the course, full Joining Instructions will be sent out. These will include a programme, directions to the venue, where to park, details of public transport available, maps etc. During the course you will be able to:-
Examine the changes that leaving paid employment brings
Discuss the natural anxieties that may be brought about by these changes
Receive advice about taxation, budgeting, investment, benefits and other money matters
Discuss the new possibilities created by increased leisure time
Look at ways of staying fit and healthy to enable you to enjoy your retirement
Tea, Coffee and Lunch wil be provided as part of the course.
An Information Pack will be issued containing a variety of booklets and leaflets and the Speakers will also bring hand-outs for distribution.
Delegates are asked to complete a Questionnaire during the course.
Speakers will be available during the breaks to answer any personal questions. The Course Director will be in attendance for the whole of the course and will encourage questions and group discussion.
