Summing up

In the main, sessions are held over 2 days but in a number of instances, where employers cannot release staff for this length of time, NDPRC provide One Day sessions on site, providing there is sufficient members of staff to attend. Information, delivered by specialist speakers, help delegates consider/make informed choices and decisions about factors relevant to their situation, in advance of their retirement or, as happens occasionally, once a delegate has retired ahead of the course. Please see “Provision of pre-retirement courses” for course content.

These activities prepare employees who are approaching retirement for fulfilment of their retirement years. We provide specific information and help to individuals and groups on voluntary work, part-time work, hobbies, maintenance of physical and emotional health, finance and taxation problems, as they apply to people approaching retirement. We provide written, printed and published information in the form of booklets and pamphlets. This will stand them in good stead for their future years in retirement which statistics say this could be the next 30 years of their lives. Our activities benefit the public by helping them to adapt to the next stage of their lives and help to allay their fears of isolation when experiencing retirement.
